SnapUI Terms of Use
Last updated: August 5, 2026 · Effective: August 5, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and
Stavros Papapantelis, trading as SnapUI, Koskinou, Rhodes, Greece
(“SnapUI”, “we”, “us”, “our”),
governing your use of the SnapUI mobile application, our websites, shared app previews, and related
services (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not
agree, do not use the Service. Please read Section 5 (Paid features and how charging works) carefully —
it explains that most AI actions in SnapUI cost money each time you run them.
1. The Service
SnapUI is an AI-assisted design tool. You describe an app idea, and the Service uses third-party
artificial-intelligence models to generate screens (HTML/CSS/JavaScript), app metadata, logos, store
listing text, marketing images and exportable source packages. You can iterate on generated screens
through chat-based revisions, keep a revision history, back up projects to our servers, publish a
read-only web preview, mirror projects to GitHub, and export projects for use with external coding
tools.
SnapUI is a prototyping and design aid. It does not publish apps to any app store on your behalf,
and it does not guarantee that generated output is production-ready, secure, accessible, or compliant
with any law or platform policy.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your
country, if higher) to use the Service. The Service is not directed to children.
- You must sign in with a Google or GitHub account. You are responsible for maintaining the security
of that account and for all activity that occurs under your SnapUI account.
- You must provide accurate information and may not impersonate any person or entity, or create an
account on behalf of someone else without authority.
- One person, one account. Sharing account credentials to pool paid balance is not permitted.
- If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind
that organisation to these Terms.
3. Your content and ownership
“Your Content” means the prompts, descriptions, project names, answers,
chat messages, images and other material you submit, plus the output generated for you in response.
- You keep ownership of Your Content, to the extent it is capable of ownership under
applicable law. We claim no ownership of your projects.
- You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit,
display and process Your Content solely to operate, secure, support and improve the
Service — including transmitting prompts and project content to the AI providers listed in our
Privacy Policy in order to generate output you requested.
- If you enable a public share link, you additionally authorise us to display the relevant project
publicly to anyone who has the link, until you disable it (Section 8).
- You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit Your Content and that it does not
infringe the rights of others or violate any law.
- We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use Your Content to train our own foundation models.
Third-party AI providers process your prompts under their own terms; see the Privacy Policy.
4. AI-generated output
AI output can be wrong. Generated code, text and images may contain errors, security
flaws, broken logic, inaccurate statements, or content that resembles existing works. You are solely
responsible for reviewing, testing and validating any output before relying on it, publishing it, or
shipping it in a product.
- Output is generated probabilistically. Identical or similar prompts by different users may
produce similar output, and we cannot guarantee that output is unique to you.
- We make no representation that output is free of third-party intellectual-property claims, is
licensable, or is fit for any particular purpose.
- Generated screens may reference stock photography sourced from third-party image services. Those
images are subject to the licence terms of the originating service. You are responsible for
confirming you have the right to use any image, font, icon or library that appears in
generated or exported output before using it commercially.
- Generated code may reference third-party libraries or frameworks that carry their own licences.
- You must not present AI-generated output as human-authored where that would be misleading or where
disclosure is legally required.
5. Paid features and how charging works
5.1 The core rule: AI actions consume balance
SnapUI is metered. Almost every action that calls an AI model deducts from your balance at the
moment it runs. This includes, without limitation:
- generating a new page or screen;
- revising an existing screen (each revision is a separate charge);
- generating an app blueprint, questionary or onboarding questions;
- chat replies inside a project, brainstorm and app-creation conversations;
- generating an app logo or icon;
- generating store listing text and alternative wordings;
- generating store/preview images;
- generating an export plan and export phases (for example, Claude Code exports) — a single export
can trigger many model calls, one per phase;
- generating exportable project code and project structure.
Because charges are per action, repeatedly regenerating, revising or re-exporting will repeatedly
cost money. The app shows an estimate before certain expensive operations and shows what a project
has cost so far; estimates are indicative only and the amount actually charged is based on real usage.
5.2 How the amount is calculated
Charges are usage-based, not per-click flat fees. When you start a billable action we place a
reservation (a temporary hold) against your balance. When the AI provider returns, we
capture the actual amount, which is derived from the tokens or units the provider reported for
that request, converted at our published retail rate.
- Our retail rate includes a service margin over the underlying third-party provider cost,
covering infrastructure, orchestration, storage and support. The amount deducted from your balance is
therefore higher than the raw provider cost.
- Longer prompts, larger projects, more complex screens, higher-quality models and higher reasoning
effort all increase the cost of an individual action.
- Amounts are tracked internally in fractions of a US dollar and displayed in the app.
- You are never charged more than the hold placed for that action. If actual usage
exceeds the hold, the charge is capped at the held amount rather than the action being failed.
- Monthly subscription balance is spent before purchased balance, so your purchased top-ups last as
long as possible.
- If an action fails or is not completed, the reservation is released or refunded to your balance. If a
charge was already captured for work the provider actually performed, that amount is not automatically
returned; contact support if you believe you were charged in error.
- You cannot spend below zero. If your available balance is insufficient, the action is refused before
it runs.
- We apply per-account rate limits to expensive operations to protect against runaway spend and abuse.
5.3 Balance types
| Type | How you get it | Rules |
| Welcome credit |
Granted once when your account is created |
Promotional. No cash value, non-transferable, non-refundable. May be withdrawn or changed for future users at any time. |
| Monthly subscription balance |
Included with an active SnapUI Pro subscription |
Refreshes each billing month. Unused monthly balance does not roll over and is lost at the end of the billing month. Available only while the subscription is active. |
| Purchased balance (top-ups) |
One-time in-app purchases. An active subscription is required in order to buy a top-up. |
Does not expire. Remains spendable if your subscription lapses, but you cannot buy more until you resubscribe. |
Balance is a prepaid entitlement to use the Service. It is not money, not a stored-value
instrument, has no cash value, earns no interest, and cannot be transferred, resold, gifted or
withdrawn.
5.4 Subscriptions
- SnapUI Pro is billed through the app store you purchased from (Google Play or, where offered, the
Apple App Store) and renews automatically at the then-current price until cancelled.
- Your account is charged for renewal within the window set by the store, unless you cancel at least
24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in your store account settings. Uninstalling the app does not
cancel a subscription.
- Cancelling stops future renewals. Access and the monthly balance continue until the end of the paid
period; purchased balance is then locked as described above.
- We may change prices, the included monthly balance, or the retail rate. Changes to a recurring price
take effect no earlier than your next renewal, with notice as required by the store and applicable law.
Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
6. Refunds and cancellation
- All purchases are processed by the app store, not by us. Refund requests are handled under the
policies of Google Play or Apple, and we may be unable to issue a refund directly.
- Consumed balance is generally non-refundable, because the underlying AI processing has already been
performed and paid for.
- Nothing here limits statutory rights you may have as a consumer, including any mandatory right of
withdrawal or remedies for defective digital content under applicable law (for example in the EEA or UK).
- Where you have a statutory withdrawal right and you ask us to begin supplying digital content
immediately, you may lose that right once supply has begun, to the extent permitted by law.
- If a technical fault on our side caused a charge without delivering the requested output, contact
support and we will investigate and, where appropriate, restore the balance.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- generate, store or share content that is illegal, sexually explicit involving minors, hateful,
harassing, defamatory, or that promotes violence, self-harm or terrorism;
- infringe intellectual-property, privacy or publicity rights, or clone a third party's product,
trade dress or branding in a way that infringes their rights;
- create deceptive, fraudulent, phishing or malware-distributing interfaces, or content designed to
impersonate a real person, brand or institution;
- submit personal data of other people, special-category or sensitive data (health, biometric,
financial account, government ID, precise location), or confidential information belonging to
others, into prompts or projects;
- attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, resell, sublicense or white-label the Service or our AI orchestration,
or use it to build a competing service;
- circumvent billing, rate limits, quotas or access controls, or use automated means to generate
requests at scale;
- probe, attack, overload or disrupt the Service or the infrastructure of our providers;
- violate the usage policies of the underlying AI providers or app stores.
We may review, limit or remove content and restrict features where we reasonably believe these Terms or
the law have been breached.
8. Public share links
- Sharing is off by default. If you turn it on for a project, a link is generated and
anyone who has that link can view a read-only web preview of that project without signing
in.
- Shared previews are not password protected. Links may be forwarded, indexed by third parties, cached
or archived outside our control.
- Turning sharing off stops the link from opening. It cannot retrieve copies that others already
viewed, saved, screenshotted or cached.
- Do not enable sharing for anything confidential, or for content you do not have the
right to publish. You are solely responsible for what you publish.
- We may disable a share link that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or the law.
9. GitHub mirroring
- Connecting GitHub is optional and initiated by you.
- Authorisation requests the GitHub
repo scope, which is required to create and push to
private repositories. This scope is broad and grants access to repositories in your GitHub
account. SnapUI uses it only to create and update repositories for projects you choose to
mirror.
- You are responsible for your GitHub account, repository visibility settings, and anything pushed
there, including any secrets accidentally included in project content.
- Disconnecting stops future syncing and removes the stored authorisation from your device. It does
not delete repositories already created — delete those in GitHub if you want them
gone.
- Your use of GitHub is governed by GitHub's own terms.
10. Exports and third-party tools
- Exports produce files (for example HTML bundles, screenshots, or a package intended for use with an
external AI coding assistant). Generating an export consumes balance, often across multiple model
calls.
- Once exported, files are under your control. We are not responsible for what you or any third-party
tool does with them, nor for the cost, output or behaviour of any external tool you feed them into.
- Exported projects may include references to third-party libraries, fonts and images with their own
licences. Verify licensing before commercial use.
11. Availability, changes and beta features
- The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uptime, and
AI providers may be slow, rate-limited or unavailable.
- We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features, models or export formats at any time. Model
choice may change without notice, which can affect cost and output quality.
- Features marked as experimental or beta may be unstable and may be withdrawn.
- You are responsible for keeping your own copies of important work. Although we provide backup and
restore, we do not guarantee against data loss.
12. Suspension, termination and deletion
- You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account from the Profile screen in
the app.
- Deleting your account is permanent. It removes your projects, pages, revision
history, conversations and related records from our servers, and forfeits any remaining balance,
which is not refundable or transferable.
- We may suspend or terminate access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if required
by law, or to protect the Service, other users, or our providers.
- Sections concerning ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and governing law survive
termination.
13. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, prompts, orchestration logic, branding and documentation,
is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited,
revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your
internal or commercial project work, subject to these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are
reserved. “SnapUI” and our logos may not be used without permission.
14. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED
“AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,
INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY,
OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT OUTPUT IS CORRECT, SECURE, ORIGINAL,
NON-INFRINGING, OR SUITABLE FOR PRODUCTION USE.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for
death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
15. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL,
CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, DATA,
BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, OR THE COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE
OR ANY OUTPUT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF
(A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY BEFORE
THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
16. Indemnity
You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless SnapUI and its officers, employees and contractors from
any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your
published share links, your exported or shipped products, your breach of these Terms, or your violation
of any law or third-party right.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece, excluding its conflict-of-law
rules, and the courts of Rhodes, Greece have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a
consumer resident in the EEA or UK, you keep the protection of mandatory consumer-law provisions of your
country of residence and may bring proceedings there. Consumers in the EU may also use the European
Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
Before filing a claim, please contact us at the address below so we can try to resolve the matter
informally.
18. App store terms
- Your use of the app is also subject to the terms of the store you obtained it from.
- Apple: these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to
provide maintenance or support for the app and is not responsible for any claims relating to it.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against
you. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated
as a “terrorist supporting” country, and are not on any US Government prohibited-party list.
- Google: purchases and refunds are handled under Google Play's terms and policies.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes,
provide reasonable notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service
after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the
Service and delete your account.
